We are in the final days of NaNoWriMo 2022. Some of us have already crossed the finish line and others are still writing away. Some decided to change their goalposts and others are frantically writing to catch up. Regardless of where we are: the sheer fact that you dared to tackle this challenge is to be applauded.
Writing is a vulnerable art: to give meaning with our words and to share our story is not for the faint of heart. It takes courage to put your pen to paper and write the story and share your thoughts with the world.
In the past month, we met our characters and discovered plot adventures. We stared down hurdles and blockades and we faced them all. Our first draft might not be polished or brilliant or done, but it exists and it’s real.
If you’ve made it all the way here, at the final days, you can make it to the end. Take a breath. Look around you. Savor this moment & celebrate. We can see the finish line in the distance and it is glorious.
